Anscombe Looks To Seize Opportunity

Gareth Anscombe says he has a chance to "put a stake in the ground" when Wales start their Under Armour Series against Scotland on Saturday.
The Cardiff Blues fly-half has won 18 caps but only three of those appearances were in the fly-half starting position he fills this afternoon.
And less than 12 months out from the World Cup, he knows it is a golden opportunity to showcase his quality in the pivotal playmaker role.
Fly-half rivals Dan Biggar and Rhys Patchell are both unavailable for the Celtic showdown, and with Australia looming as Wales' next opponents in a week's time, he says it's all about seizing the moment:
"It is a good opportunity and a chance to put a stake in the ground," Anscombe said. "I am just looking forward to ripping into it.
"Wales are pretty blessed with number 10s at the moment and there is a lot of competition for places. That's good for the squad.
"I get first opportunity in this series, and I want to perform well and fight for the spot."
