Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival returns to Cardiff Bay this weekend from 8 – 10 July and the city’s original celebration of street food and local produce promises to be a mouth-watering paradise for families and food lovers.

Renowned as Wales’ biggest free food festival, the event boasts over 100 local, national and international producers and continues to be one of the most popular highlights of the Cardiff Festival summer-in-the-city events programme.

Visitors can explore a host of stalls at the Producer’s Fayre and Farmer’s Market, many of which are independent or family run businesses and have an interesting background behind their produce. There is plenty of opportunity to sample and buy some of the best farmhouse cheeses, artisan breads, handmade chocolates and specialist liqueurs to name a few.

The event welcomes a huge selection of street food vendors as well as numerous bars including the Champagne Bar on the water’s edge, craft stalls and live music. This remains one of the capital’s favourite summer events with highlights for 2016 including lobster and crab dishes from Pembrokeshire, charcoal BBQ kebabs, falafels, Greek Souvlaki and locally sourced ribeye steaks slow cooked over charcoal.

Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival is a Cardiff Festival Event. The Cardiff Festival runs across the city throughout the summer months. Other landmark events include the Capital FM Cardiff Bay Beach and Cardiff Harbour Festival and the P1 Welsh Grand Prix of The Sea.
