‘July 2019 Newcastle Racecourse’ Competition on Capital North East

 

RULES

  1. The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at https://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/ (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to the ‘Newcastle Racecourse’ radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from 16th July to 19th July on Capital North East.
  2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

 

Details of the Competition:

  1. To enter the Competition an Entrant must: send a text message with the word “ENTER” PLUS THEIR ANSER to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
  2. To win, the entrant will be required to listen to a clip played on air.
  3. The clip will be  of a song that has been disguised to hide whether it is a LAD or a LADY singing it.
  4. Once the clip has played the entrant will have to guess if the original artist is a male (LAD) or female (LADY) in order to win.
  5. When taken to air, the entrant must use the same answer that they have text in with and cannot change their answer on air
  6. The producer’s decision is final
  7. All entrants selected at random to play will be required to talk to the presenters and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If the caller doesn’t answer their phone, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, or cannot continue the call for any reason, the call may be terminated, and another entrant selected at random.

 

Eligibility:

  1. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Competition.
  3. Entrants must live in the Capital North East TSA (NE, SR, DH, DL or TS postal areas)

 

Prize:

  1. Each day (Tuesday – Friday), one winner will win 2 x VIP tickets to the Collingwood Insurance Beeswing Ladies Day at Newcastle Racecourse on Saturday 27th July which includes:

-       Hospitality Badge

-       Reception Drink

-       4 Course set Lunch

-       Afternoon Tea 

-       Race day programme

-       Inclusive bar of prosecco, wine, spirits, beer etc (excludes Champagne). The inclusive bar will end 30 minutes from the commencement of the last race.  Any additional drinks must be paid for by cash/credit card.

-       The dress code is smart casual. Sportswear, trainers and fancy dress are not permitted. Shirts must have a collar, though a tie is not essential. Smart jeans and tailored shorts are acceptable.

  1. Prize is none transferable, and no cash alternative is available.
  2. Global reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
