Missing Jason Creighton

The family of missing Cramlington man Jason Creighton has made a heartfelt plea for him to come home.

35-year-old Jason was last seen at his home address on Longridge Way in Cramlington at around 9.40am on Wednesday (Oct 28) morning.

His disappearance is out of character and both his family and police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Jason's family has described him as selfless, always looking after others and wonderful with his nephews, nieces and cousins. They say he has a wicked sense of humour, is always acting the clown and making fun of himself. And, he has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Today (Sunday, November 1) they have released the following statement:

'Jason is so loved and we just want him to come home. Everyone misses him so very much, we have had so much support - all of this friends have been in touch , even one's he's not heard from for years. The support we have had from people has been fantastic.

"We're all heart broken and are desperate for him to come home.

"The children want to show him their Halloween costumes and Harvey, the dog has noticed he's not around. He keeps looking round when he's taken for a walk wondering where Jason is.

"It's Jason's birthday on Thursday, he needs to be back so we can all celebrate."

In a direct message to him, Jason's family said:

"Jason we love you and want you home. We will make sure you have the help and support you need. It's heart breaking not having you here, please come home."

Later today, Jason's family and friends will be meeting at Cramlington Police Station to help in the search for him.

Chief Inspector Jamie Pitt said: 

'We know the local community are keen to support Jason's family and many people have offered their help in searching for him. We've asked anyone who is interested in joining the search to meet at Cramlington Police Station at midday so we can coordinate this.

"We know his family are desperate for him to come home and we will continue to do everything we can to find him. I would continue to ask anyone who may have seen him, or have any information about where he is, to please come forward and speak to us."
