Audiences are losing it over Jeremy Irvine's performance as a young Sam Carmichael in the 'Mamma Mia' sequel.
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again has finally arrived and we can confirm that it is everything we ever hoped and dreamed it would be. (Well, it could do with some more Meryl Streep if we're honest but beggars can't be choosers, can they?)
The one thing everyone is absolutely raving over? The impeccable casting of all the younger versions of the adult characters. From Lily James, who absolutely stole the show as a young Donna Sheridan, down to Josh Dylan, Hugh Skinner, Jessica Keenan Wynn and Alexa Davis who all played Bill, Harry, Tanya and Rosie respectively, everyone can't quite believe how perfect their portrayals of the original characters are.
Will There Ever Be A THIRD 'Mamma Mia' Movie?
Audiences are also losing it over the actor who playing Young Sam in the movie too, Jeremy Irvine. Not only did he nail his Pierce Brosnan-esque accent down to a tee, fans seem to have developed a sudden thirst for the British actor thanks to his role as Donna's bike-riding architect island bae.
Young Sam is played 28-year-old Britsh actor Jeremy Irvine.
Chances of you recognising Jeremy in something before seeing him on screen in Mamma Mia 2 is pretty high. He appeared in the Disney Channel UK show 'Life Bites' back in 2008. His first on-screen movie role was in War Horse, in which he played the main character Albert Narracott. He starred in 2012's Great Expectations alongside Helena Bonham Carter and also - funnily enough - played the role of a young Colin Firth in The Railway Man.
This year, you'll be able to see him in Billionaire Boys Club with Ansel Elgort, Emma Roberts and Taron Egerton.
Yep, you can find him on Instagram at @jeremy.irvine where he's shared a TON of behind the scenes pictures of his time in Croatia filming Mamma Mia 2.
.
And now of course, just like Josh Dylan as Young Bill before him, everyone is really ~enjoying~ what Jeremy is bringing to role of young Sam Carmichael. In fact, between Bill and Sam, the internet is at odds over who they'd prefer as their gap-year-in-Greece boyfriend.

In Mamma Mia 2 when young Tanya said to young Sam “I just want to let you know that I find you visually appealing, I don’t even care if you’re not rich” I felt that

If someone could let the Mamma Mia casting directors know how much we all love and appreciate their hard work on this particular project, that would be amazing. Truly truly TRULY out here doing the Lord's work.
