The trailer for You season 2 has arrived and Joe is in a new city with a new alias but the same attitude.
The trailer for You season 2 has finally arrived and Joe (Penn Badgley) is back to his old tricks. He's snarky, he's judgmental, he's...the same Joe who literally got away with murder (more than once) in season 1. The first real glimpse at You's second season, which arrives 26 December, sees Joe adapting to life on the West Coast, and even adopting an alias.
In the trailer for You season 2, Joe wants us to "call him Will". Yes, we know. It's another one-syllable moniker – just like his own nondescript name. He's not winning any creativity awards for that one.

Netflix shared the minute-long trailer which features a picturesque view of Los Angeles set to some very on-brand grumbling from my favourite anti-hero and yours, Joe...err Will.

In the trailer's voiceover, Joe vents about the fakeness and "darkness" of Los Angeles, as he perceives it. "You know, love has taken me to some pretty dark places," he says. "But Los Angeles has got to be as dark as it gets."
Not a fan then, eh?
Joe laments about everything, from carefully crafted social media 'fantasies' that allows people to hide behind an online "facade" to *checks notes* gluten-free muffins. See, we told you that he's the same old Joe.
You returns to Netflix on 26 December and it seems Joe will have his hands full with the return of his formerly missing ex, Candace (Ambyr Childers).
Meanwhile, stills released by Netflix hint that Joe will be keeping a close eye on his latest love interest, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti). Buckle in, kids. We're in for a wild ride.
