When does You season 2 come out on Netflix? Here's your first look at the second season of the hit series and its cast.
You season 2 is almost here and Netflix have finally announced the release date. It's dropping on December 26th this year.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, Netflix confirmed the exciting news. They wrote: "time to buy some curtains because You returns on 26 December". In other words, there is officially less than two months until we get the next fix of our favourite, murderous stalker Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgely). If that weren't enough, You season 2 is coming out on Boxing Day, which means that as soon as Christmas is over, we'll have a new season of You to binge to our hearts' contents. A true Christmas miracle.

Who's in the cast of You season 2 though, is there a trailer yet, and what information do we know about it so far?
Alongside the date announcement, Netflix unveiled the first poster for You season 2 and it's all kinds of creepy. In the image, Joe features centre stage, gazing at the camera quizzically. Meanwhile, Love Quinn (a new character played by Haunting of Hill House star Victoria Pedretti stands completely unaware in front of him). Love is an aspiring chef, who becomes Joe's new obsession in season 2. Here's hoping that she doesn't end up dead like Peach Salinger and Guinevere Beck.
It looks like Joe won't get away with any of his crimes so easily this season, though. Joe's presumed dead (but actually alive) ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) also appears in the poster and stares at Joe in the background. The poster includes the tagline "meet your match" and we imagine that, while Joe will believe that Love is his match in the romantic sense, Candace will be his match in the exposing his crimes sense. At least we hope she will be.
As well as the new You poster, Penn Badgely tweeted: "Ready for a fresh start" with a short teaser trailer for season 2. The video features menacing music and shots of Joe looking ominous.

As it stands, there is no full-length trailer for You season 2 yet but we know that it will see Joe relocate to LA where he meets Love and becomes obsessed with her. James Scully will play Forty Quinn, Love's brother, and Jenna Ortega and Carmela Zumbado will star as a new main characters Elie Alves and Delilah Alves, respectively. John Stamos will also return as Dr. Nicky, Beck's lover and therapist who Joe framed for Beck's murder in the season 1 finale.
Perhaps most interestingly, Elizabeth Lail has confirmed that she will be making a guest appearance as Guinevere Beck in season 2. Some fans have speculated that she is still alive, however, Dr. Nicky being arrested for her murder implies that she's definitely dead because the police would need her body to arrest him. So will she appear as a ghost, in a pivotal flashback or something completely different? We can't wait to find out.
