Where else you can see Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford and more…
It's no secret that we cannot wait to see the new season of 13 Reasons Why. Ever since the first series came out last March, we've fallen in love not just with the show but its cast.
Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford and the rest of the ensemble not only all deliver stunning performances in the teen drama but they're also amazing off screen too. From their social media content to their activism in and out of work, we're obsessed with them.
As we countdown the hours until season 2 comes out, we've collated some of the must-see films and tv series that the 13 Reasons Why actors and actresses star in. Seriously, you need to see these.
Dylan may be best known for his leading role as Clay in 13 Reasons Why but he's also wowed us on the big screen with leading roles in kids films (Goosebumps), adult horror (Don't Breathe) and family comedies ('Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day'). Not only that but he's also starred in an American crime drama (Saving Grace), a fantasy thriller (Awake) and appeared in everything from Prison Break to Scandal. Just 21 years old and he already has a established a career most people would be happy to achieve in a lifetime.
Unlike Dylan, Katherine's career has only recently taken off. She starred in a few short films after studying at drama school and then got her big break when she auditioned for the role of Hannah in 13 Reasons Why via Skype. Since then she has already played a pivotal role in 2018's LGBT coming of age drama Love, Simon, starred in the independent comedy-drama The Misguided and is set to play the main role in upcoming sci-fi thriller Spontaneous. The film is about a girl in high school who finds out that she could spontaneously combust at any time. We cannot wait.
Before stealing our hearts as Tony Padillo, Christian Navarro landed minor roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Affair and Vinyl. Since 13 Reasons Why has aired though, he's already bagged himself a lead role in the highly anticipated biographical drama Can You Ever Forgive Me? The film is due out next October. It stars Melissa McCarthy as criminal author Lee Israel and we have no doubt that Christian will be excellent in it.
Alisha Boe racked up quite a bit of acting experience before her incredible turn as Jessica in 13 Reasons Why. From horror (Paranormal Activity) to crime (68 Kill), she never shies away from difficult roles. To make things even more impressive, she is the first Somali actress to land a leading role in American films since supermodel, activist and actress Iman. As well as film, Alisha has also starred in everything from Modern Family and Days of Our Lives to Teen Wolf.
Brandon Flynn was working hard in theatre before he got his star in television as Justin in 13 Reasons Why. He lacks the credits of his costars but he more than makes up for them with his talent. In fact, so impressive is he in 13 Reasons that he's already been picked up to play a recurring a role in the new series of True Detective. Oh and he's also dating multi-platinum recording artist Sam Smith. Not bad for a girl with no previous television experience.
Justin is one of the most experienced members of the 13 Reasons Why cast. Before playing the role of Bryce in the series, he was part of the main cast of American sitcom Malibu County with Reba McEntire. He also bagged gigs in everything from iCarly and Glee to The Mindy Project and Awkward. Not to mention, he recently starred in the second series of Preacher alongside Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga too.
Like his fellow castmates, Miles Heizer is also killing it right now beyond playing Alex in 13 Reasons Why. Like Katherine he starred in Love, Simon as one of the key roles so he is officially high school drama royalty. He also acted with Emma Roberts in the techno-thriller Nerve, had a lead role in the NBC family drama Parenthood and has landed episodic roles in the likes of ER and Private Practice.
Ross may be 27 but he is also a high school drama king. He's played recurring roles in Teen Wolf and K.C. Undercover and he was even one of the leads in the first season of Riverdale. Ross played Reggie Mantle but had to be replaced in the second season due to clashing commitments. Ever in demand, he will also star in upcoming superhero film Shazam! with Mark Strong and Asher Angel.
Ajiona is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most in demand actresses. As well as playing Sheri in 13 Reasons Why she has also played the younger version of Cookie Lyon in the hit musical drama Empire. On top of that, she currently stars alongside Gabrielle Union in summer thriller Breaking In. The movie follows a mother who is forced to defend herself and her children after the home that they are staying in is invaded. It is essential viewing for any 13 Reasons Why fans.
Devin's performance as Tyler Down is nothing short of remarkable so it's no shock that his other roles are of the same standard. From guest spots on the likes of 9-1-1 and House of Cards to critically acclaimed turns in Academy Award nominated films starring Gabriel Byrne and Jesse Eisenberge (Louder Than Bombs) and thrillers with Daniel Radcliffe and Toni Collette (Imperium), he is definitely one to watch.
