Fans Think This Clue In The "13RW" Trailer Means Tyler Carries Out A School Shooting

Did you spot this easter egg in the latest trailer?
One of the biggest cliffhangers at the end of 13 Reasons Why season one involved Tyler, the nerdy photographer who stalked Hannah Baker.
In the final episode, Tyler is seen packing guns and ammunition into a hidden trunk in his bedroom, and it lead many to believe that Tyler was planning a school shooting. It's a chilling moment and, as with everything with this show, very controversial.
Yesterday (May 8), Netflix posted the first official trailer for the second season and it contained some vital clues as to what happens next to Tyler. Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Tyler is seen striding through the corridors of Liberty High with a suspiciously large big black rucksack with another person, which has led people to suspect that he's carrying guns in there.
While the above image does heavily suggest that Tyler wants to carry out a school shooting, the trailer isn't completely conclusive.
For example, Tyler is seen target practicing with Clay (which would be very odd if Tyler had actually gone through with it, and weirder if Clay was a part of it or knew in advance). At another point, Tyler is seen running away from something/somebody with the same guy he was with in the corridor at Liberty High. Are they trying to escape after a shooting, or is this just some clever editing to make it look more suspicious than it actually is?
My guess is this: I think Tyler backs out of a shooting. The makers of the show have said multiple times that this season is going to be about healing and justice for Hannah. To throw a school shooting into the mix just doesn't fit with that narrative. It does looks like Clay, perhaps under pressure from those around him, also considers using guns at one point (hence the target practice scene) but surely he's too much of a nice boy to do something crazy like that.
The conversation around gun control and school shootings has shifted considerably since the first season, in the wake of the protests that followed the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in which 17 students died. After the controversy of the suicide scenes in the first season, we don't think Netflix are keen to kick the hornet's nest a second time.
