The ending of Trinkets season 1 has left viewers wondering if a second season is coming.
Netflix may have only just released Trinkets season 1 but fans are already desperate to watch season 2.
Trinkets debuted on Netflix this June to a positive reaction. The new drama tells the story of Elodie (Brianna Hildebrand), who moves states to live with her father after her mother dies. She's also a shoplifter. She quickly forms an unlikely friendship with her new classmates Tabitha (Quintessa Swindell) and Moe (Kiana Madeira), who all attend the same Shoplifters Anonymous meetings.
The series follows the three friends, as they deal with a whole host of troubles. It's heartwarming, hilarious and we're completely obsessed with it. Has Netflix renewed Trinkets for a second season, though?
As it stands, Netflix are yet to reveal whether or not they've renewed Trinkets for a second season. However, it seems likely that they will. Netflix rarely run shows for just one season and, given how popular Trinkets is among its target audience, it would seem bizarre for them to end it so soon. Plus there are so many unanswered questions that need to be addressed.
Netflix usually reveal if their series have been renewed within the first few months after they come out. We'll update you as soon as they announce anything.
Again, there's no concrete information on a release date because we still don't know if we're getting season 2 yet. That being said, Netflix almost always drop their shows once a year. With that in mind, we reckon that we could see our Trinkets girls again as soon as June 2020. It also seems likely that there would be 10 episodes just like in season 1.
Providing that Trinkets is renewed for a second season, we reckon that all of the main cast will return. That means Brianna Hildebrand (Elodie), Quintessa Swindell (Tabitha) and Kiana Madeira (Moe) will reunite. Plus we should get to see Odiseas Georgiadis (Noah), Brandon Butler (Brady), Henry Zaga (Luca), Jessica Lynn Skinner (Kayla) and Katrina Cunningham (Sabine) again.
Not to mention, the families of the main cast will likely be back: Larry Sullivan (Doug), Dana Green (Jenna), Parker Hall (Spencer), October Moore (Vicky), Linden Ashby (Whit), Joy Bryant (Lori).
The Trinkets season 1 ending leaves a lot of possibilities for season 2. It's currently unclear if we'll see Elodie and Sabine together as Elodie follows her on tour and starts a relationship with her or if we'll see her back in town. If Elodie returns, she will have to face the threat of her father sending her to a centre to deal with her shoplifting addiction.
Perhaps biggest of all we'll see if Elodie, Tabitha and Moe get caught for crashing and pushing Brady's car into the river. Given that Brady abused Tabitha for years, he deserved it but we unfortunately doubt that a legal system would be so understanding. Elodie's dad knows she was involved but we don't know if he's alerted anyone about it.
Brady also knows about the incident and is currently blackmailing Tabitha into dating him again. We hope to see a conclusion to that storyline which sets Tabitha free and puts Brady in his place.
Elsewhere, we reckon we'll see more of our favourite ship on the show (Moah) and hopefully much more of the girls together.
