Timothée Chalamet had a role in the second season of the show, which aired back in 2012. He played Finn Walden, the Vice President's son, and his character killed someone in a hit-and-run and then Walden dies in an a big explosion. Sounds delightful.
"I read twice and I left sweating in a total panic", Timothée told The Hollywood Reporter of his ill-fated audition. The part eventually went to Tom Holland, who is the partner of Timothée's Dune co-star, Zendaya.
Timothée Chalamet starred opposite the Riverdale actress in Miss Stevens (2016), a comedy focused on a teacher who chaperones a group of high schoolers to a state drama competition. The film had its world premiere at SXSW on March 2016 and received praise from critics, holding a 89% approval rating.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, Timothée plays seventeen-year-old Elio who begins a relationship with Oliver, his father's research assistant, played by Armie Hammer, with whom he bonds over his emerging sexuality.

After initially confirming that he was going to make a sequel, CMBYN director Luca Guadagnino cancelled the project to work on other films. However, in September 2022, Guadagnino hinted that he hasn't given up on the idea completely, saying: "It is something I want to do," during the press tour for Bones and All, also starring Timothée.
Timothée played Daniel in 'Hot Summer Nights', a coming-of-age tale about a shy out-of-towner who's been sent away by his parents to a seaside town in Massachusetts, where he gets involved with a local weed dealer, played by Alex Roe, and starts a relationship with a local girl.
The pair met while filming A Rainy Day in New York. They've remained close and went on IG live together to encourage their followers to vote during the 2020 presidential election.
Cementing his status as a style icon, in 2022 Timothée became the first man to grace the cover of British Vogue. Editor Edward Enninful announced the cover by saying on his Instagram account: “I didn’t want a solo man on the cover to be a stunt or a statement. I wanted it to feel effortless, and then one day, it did. With a style so innate and self-assured that it inspires women and men alike, he was the perfect fit.”
Timothée played the younger version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character in Wonka. Timothée told TIME that the film was “a celebration of being off-centre and of being okay with the weirder parts of you that don't quite fit in."
Timotheé's next film release is Dune: Part Two, which has been pushed back due to the SAG-AFTRA Strikes to March 2024. A Complete Unknown, the Bob Dylan biopic, is still listed as in pre-production on IMDB and won't likely be released until late 2024 or early 2025.
Timothée was due to start filming a biopic about music icon Bob Dylan in 2020. Originally it was called 'Going Electric'. This was put on hold due to the pandemic, and then further delayed by the SAG-AFTRA strikes. In an interview with Variety in summer 2023, Timothée confirmed that he is still attached to the project and preparing for the role. "The winds that are blowing are blowing in a very positive direction," he said.
