The Umbrella Academy season 2 is coming to Netflix a lot sooner than you think.
Umbrella Academy fans assemble. Netflix have started teasing season 2 via an Instagram close friends list and fans can join.
Ever since Netflix released the first season of The Umbrella Academy last February, viewers have been obsessed with it. Not only is the show based on comic books by My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way, but it's also gripping from start to finish. It tells the story of seven adopted siblings who were born under mysterious circumstances and all possess superpowers.

Season 1 ended on a major cliffhanger and there's plenty of unanswered questions, so, naturally, fans are desperate to learn what happens next. Netflix renewed The Umbrella Academy for a second season last April and now they're teasing it.
Yesterday (18 Feb), The Umbrella Academy surprised fans with three mysterious posts on Instagram Stories. The new posts contained a set of instructions. They read: "It's been one year since the Umbrella Academy opened its doors. To celebrate, we're all getting matching tattoos. Search for the 'UA Tattoo' Giphy sticker to show us your tat. Don't forget to tag us."
Sure enough, if you search 'UA Tattoo' on Instagram Stories, a Giphy sticker comes up which is designed to make it look like you have a tattoo of the infamous Umbrella Academy symbol. That's not all though. If you post it onto your Stories and tag @umbrellaacad, The Umbrella Academy add you to a close friends list so that you can see exclusive season 2 content.
And, if you're part of the The Umbrella Academy close friends list, you can now (19 Feb) see the first official Umbrella Academy season 2 poster. It says: "2: When are they?" In other words, it looks like we're not only getting The Umbrella Academy season 2 release date soon, but we'll find out exactly when the siblings travel in time to at the end of season 1.
The Umbrella Academy also posted new posters for each of the Hargreeves siblings and Justin H. Min, who plays Ben, took to Twitter to write: "i told y’all to do the tattoo thingamajig. i told y’all. but you never listen. #itscoming [sic]."

Given that The Umbrella Academy season 1 came out last February, we imagine that we can expect season 2 very soon. The cast finished filming season 2 in November 2019 and, since they are teasing it now, it looks like we could be seeing more of the Hargreeves siblings in March this year.
