"Here’s tangible proof that dreams come true." Mikey Way posts lovely message about brother Gerard's upcoming Netflix series 'The Umbrella Academy'.
The Umbrella Academy arrives on Netflix this February and the adaptation of Gerard Way's comic series is sure to capture the imagination of the streaming platform's global audience.
Ellen Page, Aidan Gallagher and Robert Sheehan star in the TV adaptation about a group of children with incredible abilities adopted by a cold billionaire named Hargreeves. In addition to creating the original comic series, My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way is an Executive Producer on the show and sings on the most recent trailer for it.
Gerard Way's brother and MCR bandmate Mikey Way had kind words about the series and his talented sibling. Mikey shared the trailer on Instagram along with an achingly sweet caption.
"Here’s tangible proof that dreams come true," Mikey wrote."From back when @gerardway was a kid -creating fantastic worlds on diner placemats, to creating fantastic worlds on @netflix with @umbrellaacad - everything is possible. Congratulations @gerardway & @gabriel_ba ! You did it ☂ 👏#umbrellaacademy".
This brotherly love just hit us right in the feels. Mikey has posted in support of Gerard's show in the past, as well.
The Umbrella Academy comics were first published in 2007. In July 2017, it was announced that Netflix was planning to adapt the comic into a television series.
The Umbrella Academy heads to Netflix on February 15 and, from the looks of it, Mikey Way will definitely be watching along with the rest of us.
