The Midnight Club may have only just come out on Netflix but fans are already desperate for a second season of the thriller.
Created by the team behind The Haunting of Hill House and based on the 1994 novel of the same name, The Midnight Club is a horror series about a group of seven terminally ill teenagers who meet at midnight and tell ghost stories to each other. However, when one of them dies, supernatural events begin to occur and all of their lives are put in mortal danger.

Season 1 ends leaving viewers wanting more but will there be a second season? Here's everything we know so far about The Midnight Club season 2, including the release date, cast, trailer, spoilers and news about the future of the drama.
As it stands, Netflix are yet to reveal if The Midnight Club will be be back for a second season. Fans need not worry just yet though. Netflix often wait a couple of months before confirming if they've renewed their shows or not. On top of that, the show's creator Mike Flanagan has already teased that he wants to continue the show.
Chatting to Inverse about a potential season 2, Mike said: "It is certainly designed that way. We also didn’t answer some of the bigger questions this season. Those answers exist, but were meant to be for the next season. If there isn’t one, I’ll put them up on Twitter." He also said that he wants to reach a third season.
Netflix acquired the rights to 28 of Christopher Pike's stories so there's plenty more The Midnight Club content to explore.
Given that the show is yet to be renewed, Netflix haven't revealed a The Midnight Club season 2 release date just yet. Netflix tend to wait at least a year between seasons of shows so our bet is that The Midnight Club season 2 will drop at some point near Halloween in 2024.
Season 1 has 10 episodes and we imagine that season 2 will be a similar length.
There's no concrete information regarding The Midnight Club season 2 cast at the moment but it's likely that all of the living main cast will be back. In other words, expect Iman Benson (Ilonka), Igby Rigney (Kevin), William Chris Sumpter (Spencer), Annarah Cymone (Sandra), Sauriyan Sapkota (Amesh), Aya Furukawa (Nastuki) and Adia (Cheri) to return.
Given that Ruth Codd's character Anya dies in the first season, you'd imagine that she wouldn't be back for season 2. That being said, Mike Flanagan has told Inverse that she could return in the character's stories: "Cause they all appear in each other’s stories, we can have Ruth in season two as a story character and live on that way."
Elsewhere, we imagine that Heather Langenkamp (Dr. Georgia Stanton) and Samantha Sloyan (Sasha) will also be back for more mayhem.
As it stands, the cast and crew are yet to reveal any major plot details or plans for The Midnight Club season 2. That being said it's likely to feature many more Christopher Pike horror stories, jump scares and heartbreaking death scenes.
With the characters now connected to the afterlife, anything could happen.
There's no The Midnight Club season 2 trailer just yet but we shall update you as soon as there is one.
