Elle Fanning's 'Teen Spirit' is the new 'A Star Is Born' and we're ready to stan

A star is actually born.

2019 is already shaping up to be a great year for movies. We've got Glass coming to theatres in January, Jordan Peele's Us dropping in March, three more Marvel movies on the horizon (Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home) and now Teen Spirit is coming in April. Just take ALL our money why don't you?

We're still not over Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's performances in A Star Is Born either. It has only been three months since that movie dropped and now there's already some fresh meat to fill that Ally Maine-shaped hole in our lives.

The Teen Spirit trailer dropped today and it looks just as good A Star Is Born. Starring Maleficent actress Elle Fanning and Iron Man 3's Rebecca Hall, the musical drama follows the story of a girl who enters a singing competition that changes her life. Basically it's like watching The X Factor but minus the sob stories and Simon Cowell.

The trailer doesn't give a ridiculous amount away but it's looking like a good 'ol Cinderella story. Violet (Elle Fanning) is a shy teen itching to break free from her small European town and become a star, when she enters an international singing contest and quickly goes from wannabe to pop sensation. Obviously, there'll be some drama along the way as she battles to overcome her insecurities and mentor Vlad (Zlatko Buric).

And lets just talk music for a sec. The trailer covers Robyn's hit "Dancing on My Own", while it promises tracks from Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara, Annie Lennox, Orbital, Sigrid and Carly Rae Jepsen as well. Oh, and did we mention there'll also be covers from Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Grimes, The Undertones, Aqua, Alice Deejay, Whitfield, Major Lazer and No Doubt thrown in there too? Prepare to constantly have this soundtrack on repeat.

Following the trailer's release, people are getting super hyped for Teen Spirit.
