Stranger Things 4 will reportedly feature three new teen characters and one new adult character. The teen characters are described as a "metalhead" a "jock" and a "stoner".
Stranger Things is already known as a character-heavy show. Since season 1 premiered in 2016, audiences have developed an affinity for the cast and the characters they play. Viewers have been introduced to a steady stream of additional characters each season and, according to TV Line, even more could be on the way in Stranger Things season 4.

TV Line reports that the Duffer Brothers are on the hunt for actors who will play four new recurring characters, three teens and one adult. All male. The teens are described as a "metalhead" a "jock" and a "stoner". Who doesn't love a good high school archetype?
Meanwhile, the adult character could have something to do with the big Russia storyline established in season 3.
Netflix has not confirmed these characters and TV Line note that these characters could be scrapped at any point leading up to the start of production. However, we're already wondering how a "metalhead" a "jock" and a "stoner" could affect the character dynamics.
Meanwhile, some fans have brought up the fact that Robin could, perhaps, do with a girlfriend instead of Stranger Things being loaded up with more male characters (considering there are already so many). Maya Hawke joined the cast of Stranger Things in season 3, as Steve's Scoops Ahoy co-worker, Robin and quickly became an audience favourite.
Other late joiners turned fan favourites include Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery, who arrived in season 2 as Max and Billy, respectively. And, lest we forget Sean Astin, who played our beloved Bob, an audience fave who lived and died in season 2

As Stranger Things continues to tease Hopper in the upside-down, we're still racking our brains to try and solve the mystery of who "The American" could be. Fans still have a long wait ahead of them, unfortunately, as Stranger Things 4 could reportedly remain off of our screens until 2021.
