The Release Date Of 'Stranger Things 3' Has Been Delayed

Looks like we're gonna have to wait a whole YEAR for the next season of 'Stranger Things'.
It's official - the third season of Stranger Things will not be arriving on Netflix until Summer 2019.
It was already common knowledge that season three of the hit Netflix sci-fi/horror drama series wouldn't be arriving this side of Christmas, considering filming only began in April. The delay was partly confirmed by Finn Wolfhard who said he expected Stranger Things 3 to drop until 2019. "I think it's a '2019 thing'. I don't think there's an official release date but I think it's 2019. I don't think there's any way our show can be edited and done in, like, two months before. But yeah, I think it will be 2019."
Many fans thought that an early 2019 release date was on the cards but now it sounds like it's been pushed back even further - a whole year from now, in fact.

Speaking at the TCAs, Netflix’s VP for original content, Cindy Holland, explained the reason for the delay: “It’s a handcrafted show. The Duffer brothers and Shawn Levy have worked really hard, and they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so they really want to take the time to get it right.”
The delayed release date was also teased in the brand new teaser "commercial" for Hawkins' new Starcourt Mall. In the video, which features Joe Keery as Steve Harrington and new cast member Maya Hawke as Robin, it's stated that the new setting won't arrive until “next summer” which would be the summer of 2019.
Despite the push back, season three sounds like it's going to be bigger and better than before. “I think it’s going to be a fantastic season,” teased Holland at TCA. “It’s gonna be worth the wait.”
