Is season 3 the last season of Stranger Things? No, it's not - but the cast have officially wrapped filming on the third season and they're really emotional about it.
Is season 3 the last season of Stranger Things? Nope, but given how emotional the cast are feeling after wrapping filming, you'd think it is, huh?
Yep, it's official - Stranger Things season 3 has officially finished filming. Production is over. The season is complete. Now all that's left to be done is some intense post-production work and it'll be ready and waiting for us on Netflix quicker than you can say "Farrah Fawcett hairspray."
Season 3 of the hit Netflix show is set to drop in Summer 2019 and while we've still got a long harsh winter ahead of us, at least we now know that we're almost there. The cast have just wrapped season 3, which could be the penultimate season of the show. (Season 4 is definitely happening, but whether or not there's going to be another season remains to be seen. Speaking to Collider in April, producer Shawn Levy said “there’s very much the possibility of a season beyond that one, that’s currently undecided".)
Nevertheless, the cast were particularly emotional after wrapping on the season, given that they'd spent an entire summer together in Georgia shooting the show. There were sign offs from Finn Wolfhard and David Harbour and even some tears from Millie Bobby Brown, who took to Instagram to share how upset she was that she had wrapped on the season.
Finn Wolfhard shared a video on Instagram the actual second he wrapped on set, also adding that he's finally shaved his "disgusting moustache" after six months of filming. Lol.
Noah Schnapp shared a video of himself sliding down the escalator in the Starcourt Mall on set, which will be one of the main locations of season 3. (The mall is an actual mall that the crew rebuilt especially for the show, FYI.)
David Harbour also shared a goodbye message to his iconic Hopper moustache. He also might have given away a little spoiler without context... Who is Gary? What has plumbing and heating got to do with season 3? Are there Demogorgons in the pipes? Why can't he keep his mouth shut?
Millie also shared two adorable pictures of herself with Noah Schnapp and Sadie Sink in costume with the caption "one more time" written underneath and I'm honestly in my feelings about it.
Season 3 is set to be the biggest - and most ambitious - season of the show yet...
It's not yet known when the cast will return to shoot the fourth and final season of the show, but we're sure we'll be seeing them one last time for one more late '80s jaunt around Hawkins soon.
