"Ok, I'm gonna be real with everyone right now. I was not happy..."
Eleven's now iconic "I dump your ass" line might be Millie Bobby Brown's favourite quote of Stranger Things 3, but she actually wasn't that impressed when she found out that El and Mike Wheeler were going to be breaking up in season 3.
Taking to Instagram live earlier this week, Millie answered some questions from her fans, one of whom was Joe Jonas. Hello, Joe Jonas. While Millie wouldn't answer any questions about whether or not there was actually going to be a season 4, she gushed about her co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp and Dacre Montgomery and also she revealed her celebrity crush. It's Timothée Chalamet, by the way. She thinks he's very talented.

But anyway, more pressingly, Millie had a few things to say about the third season of the show and most of those things were about Eleven and Mike's short-lived relationship. Long story short: She wasn't happy about it!
At the start of season 3, it's quickly established that Eleven and Mike have grown considerably close since the Snow Ball at the end of season 2 and are now in a relationship. Hopper does nooooot like this, so he attempts to speak to them to get them to chill out on all the kissing and spending time together.
This all backfires, resulting in Mike distancing himself from El after being low-key ousted by Hop, and the two end up breaking up in episode 2. They remain together throughout the season but not together together.
Millie has already defended their relationship in season 3, and now she's explained why she was so upset about their break up too.
"How do I feel about the Mileven break up? Ok, I'm gonna be real with everyone right now. I was not happy," she started.
She carried on, explaining that she and the fans all wanted them together, but the "bloody monster" kept getting in the way of everything.
"I was so not ok with it," she continued. "Because obviously I want them to be together, I mean, she's so in love with him and he's so in lo- it's such a cute little storyline and they're so cute together. And he loved her, no matter what she looked like, no matter what she said, no matter what she did, he still loved her and that is just the perfect boy. To love you for whoever you are.
I was really excited for them to be together and then when they broke up, I was like 'oooook when are they gonna make up because they need to!?'"
While they made up at the end of season 3, the final episode sees El move away from Hawkins with Joyce, Jonathan and Will Byers, leaving Mike in his hometown, without his girlfriend. They make plans to spend the holidays together and it's assumed their relationship will be long distance for the time being.
While Millie is continuing to remain tight lipped about a potential season 4 (it's happening), you can bet your ass that she's already fighting for that Mileven endgame.
