Millie Bobby Brown just hinted [SPOILER] could still be alive in Stranger Things

"The way I reacted was pure devastation and sadness, and a distraught child that just lost her father or so she thinks."
If you're anything like us, then the devastating ending of Stranger Things 3 is probably still swirling around in your tiny muddled brain. What happened? Who died?! Are they really dead? How long am I going to have to wait for season 4? Will there be a season 4? The answer to that last question is yes–and the cast have already been teasing details about what will happen.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Millie revealed that she "know(s) things here and there" about Stranger Things 4 but is remaining as tight lipped as you would imagine. Mainly because season 4 hasn't even been confirmed by Netflix yet. (It has, however, sort of been confirmed by Shawn Levy and later confirmed by Noah Schnapp, who also already knows stuff about Will's future.)

But in the middle of speaking about the heartbreaking moment that Eleven shares with Hopper's letter at the end of the season, Millie may have let slip a big ol' hint that Hawkins' Chief Daddy Hop is not in fact dead–just as we're all desperately hoping.
When asked about the methods she used to achieve such a heartbreaking performance while reading the letter, Millie said: "They had prerecorded David and they played it out loud. I didn’t want to read that speech. I didn’t want to hear about it. I didn’t want to rehearse it.
I just immediately wanted to put a camera on me and find the way I react and the way I reacted was pure devastation and sadness, and a distraught child that just lost her father or so she thinks."
Wait, what was that? Or so she thinks?!?!
As you'll know by now (hopefully, otherwise you've just read a massive spoiler), Hopper is seemingly dead and gone at the end of season 3. Hop was standing on the platform next to the machine when Joyce turned the keys to turn it off, just before it exploded and killed everyone in the room.
But thanks to a post credit scene teasing the identity of an 'American prisoner' in the Russian base, fans have jumped to several theories that involve Hopper still being alive. (He got taken by the Russians! He's the prisoner! He got sucked into the Upside Down!)
Could Millie's throwaway comment confirm Hopper's status? We likely won't know a damn thing until season 4 actually drops on Netflix but until then, you can find us at Murray's telling anyone and everyone we know about our Russian kidnap plot conspiracy theories.
