Buono, who plays Karen Wheeler, let the season 4 details slip in a recent interview.
Will there be a Stranger Things 4? Has Stranger Things 4 been confirmed? Is Stranger Things 4 the last season? When does Stranger Things 4 start? Ever since Stranger Things 3 ended, eeeeeveryone has been dying to know more information about the next season - and now it looks like we finally might have some info.
So far, there's been no official confirmation from Netflix or show creators the Duffer Brothers about a fourth season. Producer Shawn Levy has, however, already said that season 4 is "definitely happening."

In the past few weeks, the cast members have alluded to season 4, giving sly winks in interviews and discussing what they already know about where their characters will find themselves. And now, Cara Buono who plays Karen Wheeler, has appeared to confirm filming for season 4 begins in October 2019.
In an interview with Poland In, Cara was speaking about her hiatus plans before revealing that the cast return to work to start filming season 4 in October. That's all that was said in the short clip provided but it's a big ol' bombshell, huh? October? Much sooner than we thought!
Filming for season 3 began in May 2018 and finished in November 2018, with the release date following another 8 months later in July 2019. In total, season 3 took over a year to reach our screens. The season was also delayed, with Netflix programming executive Cindy Holland explaining that the Duffer Brothers and Levy "want to deliver something bigger and better than [season 2]."
If season 4 starts filming in October, it could mean that we might not see Stranger Things 4 until the end of 2020. But of course, that all depends on just how much of a blockbuster event they want to make it. If it's bigger than season 3, expect to wait a while.
For now, the rest of the cast are remaining tight-lipped about season 4. Well, everyone except Noah Schnapp, who has said that he already knows bits about where Will will find himself.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Schnapp said: "I know that I might have a separate storyline from everyone else, so we might be filming, like, in another place."
The Duffer Brothers have also revealed that they are looking to take season 4 outside of Hawkins, in an interview with EW.
“I think the biggest thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plotlines into areas outside of Hawkins,” said Matt Duffer.
“Assuming there’s a season 4, obviously the question of who that American is in that cell and then also what they’re doing with the Demogorgon, is a tease,” said Ross. “That’s obviously going to play a huge role in a potential season four.”
