Skai Jackson dedicates heartfelt routine to Cameron Boyce on Dancing With The Stars
"He moulded me into the person I am now. Of course I miss him every day."
Skai Jackson performed an emotional Foxtrot with her professional partner Alan Bersten in dedication to Cameron Boyce on Monday night's episode of Dancing With The Stars.
The two grew incredibly close while working on the Disney Channel series Jessie and remained firm friends until Cameron Boyce's death in July 2019 aged 20, following complications caused by an on-going medical issue.
During rehearsals, Skai told Alan she wanted her routine to pay tribute to Cameron. "I want this dance to be dedicated to Cameron, who was a really close friend of mine and co-star," she explained. "He was in my life for half of my life, which was crazy. We built up this bond for years and years and years."

The actress then started becoming teary, before showing Alan her phone case, which had a photo of Cameron hugging Skai on the set of Jessie. She added: "He moulded me into the person I am now. Of course I miss him every day, but I have him on my phone case so I get to see him."

Later, Skai and Alan delivered an electrifying Foxtrot to John Legend's 'Ordinary People' and she scored her very first 10 of the competition. She also nabbed an overall score of 28 – making it the highest scoring dance routine of the season so far.
