Can You Spot The Mistake In This Scene From The '13 Reasons Why' Finale?

Once you've seen it, you can't un-see it.
One of the most emotional scenes in 13 Reasons Why season two comes in the final episode at the ball.
As fans will remember, in season one Clay & Hannah slow dance to Lord Huron's 'The Night We Met' and just as they are about to kiss, Hannah notices that there is a circle of boys surrounding Jessica, who is really drunk, and so she makes her excuses and tries to take Jessica home. Afterwards, Tony (who was djing) gives Hannah and (eventually) Clay a copy of the song, and the ballad becomes something of a beacon of Hannah and Clay's love for each other. Both the scene and the song have also become a fan favourite.
In the final episode of season two, there is another ball and the song is played again, only for Clay it triggers the memories of the last ball and Hannah. He walks into the middle of the dance floor and, surrounded by his friends, begins to cry at the thought of losing Hannah.
It's an incredibly moving scene...except somethings not quite right about it but it happens for fast we bet you didn't even notice on the first watch.
Who IS she?
As eagle-eyed fans on Reddit spotted, for reasons not immediately obvious, a random women decided to walk into shot and tap a couple on the back and then walk away. But...why!?!
13 Reasons Why Season 2: Every Song On The Soundtrack
There's a couple of theories floating round. The first is that she is in fact an extra, presumably a teacher, who is telling the students not to get too close to each other. That would sense except everyone is slow dancing closely, so why does she only pick on that couple, who don't appear to be getting freaky or anything. Secondly, why would she only tap them and run away? Surely, if she was telling them off, she would stand there for a few seconds and talk with them. It doesn't really add up.
The more popular theory is this was actually a mistake by the editors who accidentally used a clip of a production assistant walking into shot to position the couple instead of one without, which is actually hilarious if it's true.
