The First Footage Of 'Riverdale' Season 3 Has Arrived And It Looks TERRIFYING

Archie has fixed his car and Alice is literally sacrificing her grandchildren to the fire in the first mini-trailer for Riverdale season 3.
Just when we thought we were going to have to wait until October to get our first look at Riverdale season 3, it looks like we've just been blessed with a little teaser of what we can expect in the new season WAY ahead of schedule.
The entire cast of Riverdale took over San Diego Comic Con this past weekend and spilled a LOT of tea about the new season in the process. The TL;DR? Falice is coming... and so are Jughead's mum and sister. ANOTHER musical episode is on the cards. Deaths! Drama! Romance! Cults! Archie in jail. Basically, it's going to be everything you've ever wanted.

Ahead of the show's huge Hall H panel, the audience were treated to a very brief sneak peak at what's to come in season three. The cast have revealed that only two episodes have been filmed so far, so there's still a loooong way to go. But judging by the few scenes we saw at the end of the highlights reel... we're going to be in for a WILD one.
The new footage starts at around 2:07 in the video at the top of the page with Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead all sitting Pop's having a milkshake. Archie is not currently in prison (he's probably awaiting trial after being arrested for the murder of Cassidy Bullock at the end of season two.)
The core four then head off in Archie's car (he finally fixed it then?) and head to the river to have a lil' dip in the waters. As expected, Jughead sits and observes because that beanie ain't about to get wet. Not on his watch.
Then we see Betty walking down the stairs in the Cooper house after hearing something outside. As she walks into the back garden, we see some kind of ritual going on, with fairy lights and fire... and Polly and Alice raising Juniper and Dagwood over a FIRE. The cult jumped OUT. Alice, baby, what is you doing?!
I REBUKE IT IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!
So there you have it, your first glimpse at season three... Is it all a dream? Is Archie actually stuck in jail having a vision about what his summer *could* have been? Is Betty imagining things again or has Polly actually been giving Alice too much Koolaid? TIME WILL TELL!
