New scientific reports claim that TV and film star Robert Pattinson is more handsome than Idris Elba, Henry Cavill and Brad Pitt according to the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.
It's official. Robert Pattinson has been named the 'Most Beautiful Man in the World' following brand new scientific research.
Every year reports come forward claiming which celebrities are the most attractive people in the world, according to science. Just last year, the Daily Mail consulted facial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva to use a scientific equation (!!!) called the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi to find out who the 'Most Beautiful Woman in the World' is. Apparently, it's Gigi Hadid.

Now the Daily Mail is back it again and they've turned their focus onto men this time. Dr. Julian De Silva has used the same scientific equation to decipher who the 'Most Beautiful Man in the World' is...and it's good news for Twilight fans.
According to the site, Robert Pattison's "eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured against other celebrities and came closest to the ancient Greeks' idea of perfection". Dr. De Silva explained: "These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful."
The Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi was used by artists and architects in the Renaissance period to determine beauty. To use it, "The length and width of someone's face is measured...and the results are divided." The equation is based on symmetry. It argues that "the closer the ratios of a face or body are to the number 1.618 (Phi)", the more beautiful someone is.
Robert got the top beautiful rating (92.15%). Meanwhile, Henry Cavill is second (91.64%), Bradley Cooper is third (91.08%), Brad Pitt is fourth (90.51%), George Clooney is fifth (89.91%), Hugh Jackman is sixth (89.64%), David Beckham is seventh (88.9%), Idris Elba is eighth (88.01%), Kanye West is ninth (87.94%) and Ryan Gosling is tenth (87.48%).
It goes without saying that these ratings should be taken with a pinch of salt. The Golden Ratio equation is based on archaic and Eurocentric ideals of what is considered beautiful. Beauty is, of course, in the eye of the beholder. In other words, Team Jacob fans need not lose any sleep over Robert Pattinson coming out on top.
