The first official glimpse of Robert Pattinson as Batman is finally here.
The wait for DC's new Batman is nearly over. The director has released a first look at Robert Pattinson in the iconic costume.
Last June, DC director Matt Reeves broke the internet by announcing that Robert Pattinson would be playing the prestigious role of Batman in the upcoming 2021 film The Batman. Robert is, of course, best known for previously starring in the Twilight franchise, the Harry Potter films and The Lighthouse. The Batman marks Robert's first official foray into superhero films.

Now DC have upped the anticipation for The Batman by releasing the first teaser video of Robert taking on the role.
Taking to Twitter last night (Feb 13), Matt Reeves tweeted: "#TheBatman #CameraTest", alongside a video starring Robert in the legendary batsuit. In the teaser, you can hear brand new Batman theme music playing before the shot pans out to show the new Batman costume. It then pans out even more so that you can see Robert wearing it and getting into character.
Robert follows in the footsteps of famous actors including Christian Bale, Michael Keaton and George Clooney who've each taken on the beloved role. Most recently, Ben Affleck played Batman in Suicide Squad and Justice League for DC. Chatting to Variety, Robert revealed he wanted to play Batman "for a while" and that "it was the only outfit" he had as a kid.
