Riverdale shuts down production due to coronavirus

"Out of an abundance of caution, production on Riverdale is currently suspended."
Looks like we might have to wait a little bit longer for the Riverdale season 4 finale as production has been shut down over coronavirus concerns.
Yesterday (March 11), Warner Bros. released a statement confirming that a member of the team had recently come into contact with someone who had tested positive for the virus.

In a statement, Warner Bros. said: "We have been made aware that a team member from Riverdale, which is produced in Vancouver, was recently in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
"The team member is currently receiving medical evaluation."
The statement continues: "We are working closely with the appropriate authorities and health agencies in Vancouver to identify and contact all individuals who may have come into direct contact with our team member.
"The health and safety of our employees, casts and crews is always our top priority. We have and will continue to take precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world. Out of an abundance of caution, production on Riverdale is currently suspended."
There's currently no updates on when production on the show will resume. The cast are currently filming the final few episodes of the season, having just wrapped on episode 19. Riverdale season 4 is said to consist of 22 episodes and is expected to air its finale in May.
Following the spreading of the virus around the world and the US, it's likely that more TV production units will be suspended as a precaution. Multiple chat shows have also recently taken precautions by recording without their studio audiences.
Beyond the TV world, artists have started letting fans know that they will be postponing concerts and Coachella has been pushed back to October. My Chemical Romance are the latest band to call off their upcoming shows.
