Netflix US viewers have until July 27 to finish watching Pretty Little Liars on the platform before the streaming giant removes the show from its catalogue.
Pretty Little Liars is leaving Netflix US and fans of the series will soon have to say goodbye to the popular teen drama. Fans who are re-watching or leisurely making their way through all seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars have six weeks to complete the series or forever hold their peace.
Netflix US' Twitter account confirmed over the weekend that Pretty Little Liars would soon be leaving the platform. "7 seasons, 160 episodes, 125 threatening texts, 10 A’s, and too many lies to count. On July 27, we have to say goodbye to Pretty Little Liars on Netflix in the US. You have six weeks to rewatch but if you want to go all Mona on it, it’ll take 6 days & 16 hrs to watch it in one go."
PLL fans, you're officially on notice.

But, hang on a minute. If Pretty Little Liars is leaving Netflix US, does that mean it's also leaving Netflix UK/Ireland?
Is Pretty Little Liars leaving Netflix in the UK/Ireland?
Netflix UK & Ireland confirmed shortly after that fans in the UK and Ireland would NOT be losing the popular teen drama. If that's you then you can breathe a big sigh of relief.

Whether Netflix is able to keep shows on the platform is all down to the licensing agreements they have in place. Some agreements allow them to stream a show in certain regions but not in others. Some agreements give the platform permission to stream a show for a certain period of time only.
And your favourite shows are NOT cheap to licence, either. For instance, Netflix paid a hefty $100 million last year to retain streaming rights to one of the most popular programmes it offers–Friends.
