The video has now been removed from YouTube.
A kids cartoon that was uploaded on YouTube is being called out for being racist. The problematic clip shows a "beautiful" white character becoming cursed and turning into an "ugly" black woman.
Everyone is fuming over "racist" new movie Loqueesha
The cartoon, called Dina and the Prince, was uploaded by YouTube channel My Pingu TV, which features animated videos for young kids.
The story follows an angel named Dina who falls for a prince. However, when she is an angel, Dina can't speak to the prince before lighting a torch and if she does she'll lose her beauty.
However, Dina falls in love with him anyway and decides to give up her beauty just to have a conversation with him. She then transforms from a white woman into a black woman with curly hair. "I could not bear your pain any longer and now I am ugly," she tells him.
this is the most disgusting thing I have seen in a LONG timepic.twitter.com/UEQkfwEsau

The prince falls for Dina despite her appearance and the story ends with her somehow becoming white and "beautiful" again.
We will still be told racisim doesn’t exist just because it isn’t as overt as this..

I’m disgusted at the thousands of black kids who have watched this and will question their beauty. Again, allowing black kids to hate themselves because the world has told them to. Sickening. https://t.co/39VGPFEUgQ
This pissed me off soo much. First I was like shitty plot line, then second when I saw that losing her beauty meant her being a fairer skin color it pissed me off soo much, I expected to grow old or some shit. They’re really teaching kids to hate soo young.

Why is the world so hell bent on belittling black people when all we’re doing is minding our business.....? Like who spends days and weeks creating something like this just to teach such a hateful message to children??!

I genuinely thought the shocking part was how much she was talking about her looks and what she was giving up for a man and how they were teaching that to kids but the ending?? Disturbing isn’t even the word for that blatant racism wooowww
