Outer Banks cast explain how they shot their underwater scenes
"Ever since we started, we always viewed it as something that was probably like a four-season, maybe five-season show."
It's been a few weeks since Netflix released the intense teen drama Outer Banks, and news about the potential second season is now starting to trickle in.
So far, Netflix have yet to confirm whether or not Outer Banks season 2 will be given the go ahead, but the good news is that writing has already begun on the next chapter. (Co-creator Jonas Pate confirmed that Netflix gave them the green light to start writing scripts.)

Now, Pate has revealed that there could be much more Outer Banks action to come. Beyond season 2, there's plans for season 3 and season 4.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Pate revealed that he envisions the show having four seasons, and the overall story has already been arced out.
"Ever since we started, we always viewed it as something that was probably like a four-season, maybe five-season show, but definitely four seasons," he told the publication. "We've sort of long-arced it out pretty far. I'm just hoping that we get a chance to actually tell those stories."
Chase Stokes shares hilarious video behind the scenes video from Outer Banks
Pate previously confirmed that he was working on writing season 2 already, teasing what will happen next with John B. (Chase Stokes) and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) in the Bahamas. So far, it sounds like there'll be a couple of episodes set in the new location, before the show is brought back to the Outer Banks.
"The Pogues think that John B. and Sarah are dead," said Pate, "so we realized that that gave us some dramatic possibilities that we could explore before we get them all reunited. We love that part of the show, having the Pogues together. That's when we feel like this show is working the best."
In other season 2 news, Ward Cameron's storyline will stretch out over the second season, and there'll be some new villains and another mystery too. Sarah's brother Rafe (Drew Starkey) and ex-boyfriend Topper (Austin North) will also play bigger roles.
Honestly? Can't wait. Outer Banks season 2 is gonna be wild.
