Chilling Adventures of Sabrina cast tease Sabrina and Nick reunion in season 4

Will Sabrina and Nick get back together in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4? Here's what we know...

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 3 returned to our Netflix accounts last Friday (Jan 24) and while that was great news for the fandom, it didn't quite work out so great for the Nabrina shippers amongst us.

After a short-lived romance in part 2, fans of Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and Nick Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood) were looking forward to a reunion once Sabrina saved him from Hell. Except that didn't quite happen. Sabrina did save Nick, but Nick still wasn't quite himself and soon fell down a self-destructive path.

After an emotional scene in episode 5 and barely any interaction in the last 3 episodes of the season (to be fair, Sabrina did have her hands full), fans were left devastated over what happened to the couple.

But, as you may already know, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 is officially on the way and by the sounds of things, there's hope for Nabrina yet.

So... about Sabrina and Nick. In Part 3, Nick's mental state takes a huge dip following his stint as the Dark Lord's vessel and, as a result, his relationship with Sabrina takes a bit of a hit. Well, when we say a bit of a hit, we mean... a big ol' hit. They broke up – and it was devastating.

In episode 5 ('The Devil Within'), Nick decides to hit the brakes on his relationship with Sabrina after she manages to remove the last part of the Dark Lord that still resided in him.

When Sabrina comes to comfort him after the successful ritual, Nick confesses to her that he doesn't think they can go back to normal. Wondering if his actions toward Sabrina were actually something within him that was triggered by the Dark Lord, Nick explains: "I need time to work it out for myself. I need space, a break... and I think you do too."

Sabrina says she'll give it all up for Nick but he won't have it. He knows she's on a mission and that she has a job to finish.

"I love you, but I can't do this anymore. I'm so sorry," he says before Sabrina asks him to kiss her. But he refuses and then walks away, leaving Sabrina – and every single Nabrina shipper - sobbing on the bed.

To make matters even worse for the Nabrina shippers, Part 3 also teased the return of Harvey and Sabrina (there's clearly still lingering feelings there, even if Sabrina did burn that cord-cutting candle) and also teased a potential new ship consisting of Sabrina and Caliban. Calbrina, anyone?

But while the fans are devastated over the break up, there may still be hope yet for the Nabrina endgame. In the last few episodes of the season, it became clear that neither Sabrina nor Nick are happy with their decision. And with season 4 on the horizon, a reconciliation is looking more and more likely.

Speaking to Bustle, Gavin Leatherwood believes that Nabrina are endgame. "Personally? I would say [they are]," he says. "But who knows? That's the great thing about this world: It's full of surprises."

And, judging by her Instagram activity, Kiernan Shipka believes and ships it too. In an interview with ET Online, she even said, "Nicholas Scratch is clearly the superior choice," but still loves the idea of Habrina too.

But will we get that answer in part 4? Maybe, witches. Maybe. Show runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has teased to The Wrap that it'll be "clear who is ‘endgame,'” by the end of next season.

Nabrina shippers, get those prayer circles going ASAP.
