Watch the trailer for Netflix's Fyre Fest inspired horror series,'The I-Land', starring Kate Bosworth, Alex Pettyfer, and Sibylla Deen, which drops on the platform 12 September.
The debacle of last year's Fyre Festival led to multiple lawsuits, prison time for Billy McFarland, and TWO competing documentaries on Netflix on Hulu. Fyre Festival's legacy doesn't stop there, though. Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Fyre Festival inspired horror series, 'The I-Land', and it looks terrifying.
Kate Bosworth, Alex Pettyfer, Sibylla Deen, Kota Eberhardt and Gilles Geary star in the seven-part limited series, heading to Netflix on Thursday 12 September.

The official synopsis hints at 10 people being stuck on an island with no way home.
"When ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home. They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the I-Land’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves – or die as their worst ones."
Okay...I'm already FREAKED OUT to be honest.
The trailer starts with footage that bears a striking resemblance to the videos used to promote Fyre Festival in early 2018. Influencer types jump into the sea, frolick on the beach, and yes, there's even a swimming pig.
Things take a turn in the trailer as they encounter terrifying challenges on the treacherous island. Things look bloody and violent, and 'The I-Land' comes just in time for the Halloween season.
Catch the new Netflix show 'The I-Land' 12 September.
