The classic makeover show is about to return and we've got all the details right here.
Netflix have announced that they will soon be reviving the mid-00s cult hit Queer Eye For The Straight Guy for a whole new generation and, honestly, we are very here for it.
Whether you are a die-hard fan of Drag Race or just love a good makeover, this is going to be your new not-so-guilty pleasure. So what's it all about? We've rounded up all the details for you below:
Originally running for five seasons between 2003 and 2007 on Bravo, Queer Eye was a makeover show in which the cast of Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez (aka the 'Fab Five') gave a straight man a new wardrobe, grooming advice and other 'improvements' in order to impress their other half. The show won an Emmy award in 2004 and is now being revived by Netflix for a brand new series with a whole new cast.
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Opening Theme (Original)
According to the press release, the new season is set in Atlanta, Georgia "as the Fab 5 takes on heterosexual men in the red state. From making over Trump supporters and the average Americans who've been largely demonized through this tumultuous political climate, to forging relationships with men and women from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs often contrary to their own, you can expect to see a big range of emotions. Discussing everything from LGBTQ rights to the important social commentary on how to pair the perfect wine, the new Fab 5 are hitting all the right marks when it comes to giving men the proper tools for living your best life."
New episodes will be available on the streaming service from February 7th 2018.
Season one will contain a total of eight episodes.
The new 'fab five' are Antoni Porowski (Food and Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Karamo Brown (Culture), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming) and Tan France (Fashion).
Unfortunately, none of the original guys will be back, although Carson Kressley recently expressed his approval to TMZ, stating that "It’ll be a different kind of fabulous, but I think we need it now more than ever...let's make America gay again."
