There's no question about it. 2018 produced some iconic pop culture moments. Artists like Cardi B and Ariana Grande lit up the charts with their amazing singles this year. Meanwhile, 2018 TV delivered with instant classics like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Haunting of Hill House. One thing is definitely certain. 2018 gave us incredible blockbusters as well.
Films like Crazy Rich Asians and Avengers: Infinity War charmed audiences around the world. Because it's the end of the year, our team got together to select some films we loved this year and think you might enjoy if you haven't already seen them. These are our picks for the top 18 films of 2018.
18) The Miseducation of Cameron Post
Chloe Grace Moretz stars in The Miseducation of Cameron Post about a girl in the 90s sent to a gay conversion camp. The coming-of-age film is a witty and intensely compassionate story that sees its lead character build a close bond with other misfits who have also been sent away to change a deeply important part of themselves.

Fans waited a decade for the follow up to Mamma Mia and the fun and flamboyant sequel couldn't have been more perfect. Visually, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was vibrant and, of course, the soundtrack reignited the internet's collective ABBA standom.
16) Ocean's 8
Who doesn't love a fun and far-fetched heist movie? Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, and Rihanna delivered a confident film full of capable and unstoppable crooks. Seeing those women on screen together was such a cinematic moment. We stan.
15) Assassination Nation
Assassination Nation, a dark comedy starring Odessa Young, Hari Nef, Maude Apatow, and Suki Waterhouse is well written and well performed. Centred around a group of ultra cool high school girls, Assassination Nation sees a town descend into chaos when its residents' deepest secrets are revealed. Come for the great young cast, stay for the absolutely wild and violent fall out.
14) The Incredibles 2
Fans waited over a decade for the follow up to 2004's The Incredibles, and the 2018 sequel didn't disappoint. The superhero family returned to the big screen as baby Jack Jack's full range of powers manifested and Elastigirl's new career path majorly changed the family dynamic. As was expected, The Incredibles 2 was a solid choice this year for young fans and fans who are young at heart.
13) Ant Man and The Wasp
Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly give funny and enjoyable performances in this Ant Man sequel, released just after the high stakes drama of Infinity War.
12) The Hate U Give
The Hate U Give, starring Amandla Stenberg, is an absolutely gut-wrenching story of how police violence can impact an entire community. The combination of the film's poignant story (based on the novel of the same name) and Amandla's stellar performance make The Hate U Give a must see.

By now, you've heard all the hype about Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born. Gaga is a incredible as Ally and we hear that Bradley Cooper might have been the one person out of 100 who believed she would nail the role – which she did!
10) Love, Simon
Love, Simon is funny, heartwarming, and deeply necessary. The adorable romantic dramedy sees Simon as a loveable albeit awkward gay teenager who discovers the life affirming power of being true to ones self.
9) Blockers
Blockers is funny, heartfelt, and very watchable. Leslie Mann, John Cena, and Ike Barinholtz play the perfect trio of parents who embark on a night of parental spying and sheningans after discovering their daughters made a pact to lose their virginity.
8) A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place is intense, terrifying, and beautifully crafted. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski delivered heart stopping performances in this edge-of-your-seat thriller about a family who must remain silent or risk their lives.
7) Eighth Grade
Eighth Grade is so deeply sincere and authentic. It has to be one of the year's most moving performances by a child star. Elsie Fischer is a revelation as Kayla Day, an awkward but well-meaning middle schooler preparing to transition into the ninth grade. The film hits all the right emotional beats and is earnest in its delivery without ever once feeling contrived.
6) Hereditary
Hereditary promised and delivered a new kind of terror. The film was not just rooted in ghost stories and jump scares, but also in the horror of broken families, tragic accidents, and guilt. Toni Collette, Milly Shapiro, Alex Wolff, Ann Dowd, and Steve Graham all deliver unbelievable performances in this absolutely stunning horror masterpiece.
5) To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
The film adaptation of Jenny Han's book To All The Boys I've Loved Before arrived on Netflix in August and audiences immediately fell in love. Lana Condor is deeply relatable and talented, as Lara Jean Covey and Noah Centineo shines as the charming Peter K.
4) BlacKkKlansman
Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman is wry, passionate, and intense as the prolific director unfurls the story of a black police officer in the 1970s who manages to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan with the help of his white colleague.
3) Avengers: Infinity War
2018 was the year that Avengers: Infinity War left audiences emotionally wrecked. Despite being jam packed with heroes from across the Marvel family, Infinity War was engaging and solid in its storytelling.
2) Crazy Rich Asians
Crazy Rich Asians is exactly what people used to love about romantic comedies. The film is a beautiful and lighthearted love story begging to be re-watched at least a dozen times. Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, and Gemma Chan were perfect in this vibrant and laugh out loud instant classic.
1) Black Panther
Black Panther wasn't just a film, it was a cultural moment. People dressed up, lined up, choreographed dances, and did the Wakanda forever salute to celebrate the event that was Black Panther. The movie, itself, was well paced and complete with a stunning and talented cast.
