Michelle Williams Was Just Paid 1% Of Mark Wahlberg's Wage...For The Same Movie

A new report shows that the reshoots for 'All The Money In The World' had some major pay disparities among the cast.
Actress Michelle Williams was paid a fraction of what her costar Mark Wahlberg on the recent reshoots for movie All The Money In The World.
The cast of the Ridley Scott-directed thriller reconvened late last year in order to reshoot scenes that had originally included Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer, who took on the role of J. Paul Getty after Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct.

But, USA Today reports that while Wahlberg was paid $1.5m for his work on the reshoots, Williams received just an $80 per diem, giving her a total of under $1000.
Ridley Scott had previously told the paper that everyone involved, including the crew, had come to work for free in order to ensure a speedy turnaround for the project and rescue it before release, but it now emerges that Wahlberg's team negotiated a fee.
Some people online have observed that both Wahlberg and Williams are represented by the same agency, WME, raising further questions about the differences in treatment and expectations of women and men in the industry.
