With the same title as her best-selling book, the unseen footage will take us through Michelle's life, from marrying Barack to raising children in the White House, and her accomplishments as First Lady, as well as the nitty gritty of her home life and childhood that usually goes unspoken about.
And while we haven't seen much of daughters Sasha and Malia since the family left the White House in 2016, the 56-year-old sits down for a rare interview with the girls, where they discuss how glad they are that their mum is "no longer facing that same scrutiny" as when they were the some of the most recognisable faces in the world.
Netflix has described the documentary as “an intimate look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House”.

Tweeting about the film's release, Michelle herself added: “This movie tells my story, from my childhood on the South Side of Chicago to my life today – and it celebrates the powerful stories of the people I met along the way.”
The documentary will be streaming on Netflix from May 6.
This is going to give us some much-needed lockdown inspiration. Notepads at the ready.
