What is "rule zero" on the internet? Don't fuck with cats. Netflix's newest true-crime limited series Don't F**k With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer tells the unbelievable story of a group of internet detectives who help track down infamous cat killer, Luka Rocco Magnotta. The three-part documentary details the online search for the cat killer and the eventual international manhunt for Luka Magnotta.
The series begins with the group trying to locate the unidentified cat killer using clues from a disturbing video called '2 cats 1 boy'. Their manhunt eventually led them and police to Luka Magnotta, a Canadian killer who would go on to be convicted for the murder of Lin Jun in 2014.

The online community that helped track down Luka Magnotta worked to find him by studying the sounds, furnishings, and even appliances that could be identified in the brutal videos he posted.
Viewers are already calling the gripping limited series the "craziest" true crime doc they've seen yet. But where is Luka Magnotta now?
Don't F**k With Cats briefly explains what happened to Luka: "In December 2014 Luka Magnotta was found guilty of first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life in prison."
During his trial, Luka Magnotta pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body but chose not to testify. He will be eligible for parole 25 years after his conviction.
Luka was previously serving his sentence at Archambault Institution in Quebec, although Vice reported in 2015 that he was transferred to a maximum-security facility.
In June 2017, The Toronto Sun reported that Luka Magnotta had got married to fellow inmate Anthony Jolin, who is also serving a life sentence for murder. The two are not allowed to cohabitate or consummate their relationship according to the report.

Just finished #DontFkWithCats, an enlightening & gripping documentary that follows the insane case of Luka Magnotta. He filmed himself killing kittens and puppies, then a man, all while making an elaborate network of film-inspired alibis & myths years in advance. pic.twitter.com/fUi8eACHxp
