Liam Nesson revealed that he wanted to kill a "black bastard" after a friend was raped...
Liam Neeson has come under fire for a racist admission in a recent interview.
The 66-year-old actor was doing press for his new film Cold Pursuit when he made the shocking confession seemingly out of nowhere. He told The Independent that he once considered committing a racist murder after a female friend of his was allegedly raped by a black man. "She handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way but my immediate reaction was, I asked, did she know who it was?"
WARNING: Some details ahead may upset readers.
He then added: "No. What colour were they? She said it was a black person. I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody - I’m ashamed to say that - and I did it for maybe a week, hoping some [making air quotes with his fingers] ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.”
Neeson then backtracked saying that it “was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that and I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid." Then trying to explain his shocking admission about his planned racist revenge he said: "It’s awful but I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the fuck are you doing,’ you know?…"
"I come from a society—I grew up in Northern Ireland in the Troubles—and, you know, I knew a couple of guys that died on hunger strike, and I had acquaintances who were very caught up in the Troubles, and I understand that need for revenge, but it just leads to more revenge, to more killing and more killing, and Northern Ireland’s proof of that.”
Unsurprisingly, the entire internet is horrified by the revelation. Here are just a few of the reactions.
Liam Neeson didn't say he wanted to kill his friend's rapist....which you could chalk up to revenge.....bruh straight up said he wanted to kill any black man.....if you're defending him....you're just as trash as he is....

Liam Neeson tells the world he wanted to lynch a stranger and people are arguing over whether or not he should be forgiven. I..whew. NOPE.

the thing (of many things) about the liam neeson story — sorry, i will stop soon! — is how comfortably it was framed as a learning opportunity. you get to have murderous thoughts about a group of people, and then it is wrapped neatly as a road to damascus moment. life is amazing.

What’s most disturbing about what Liam Neeson said is everything. But what’s particularly terrifying is the idea that the death of any other Black guy would satisfy the revenge quota to the clear indication is that he knows his whiteness would protect if he followed through on it

I’m so disgusted and disappointed. There are white men around the world who til today, walk around looking for black people to harm. Liam Neeson’s account is a stark reminder of that.

Twitter: "Jussie Smollett's story is suspect. Who just walks around trying to beat up a random Black dude."

Liam Neeson talked about wanting to kill random black men and then went, "Jess, I'm Irish"
