After a solid effort on the rom-com front in 2018 with The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Netflix are back at it again with The Last Summer, starring Riverdale's very own KJ.

The film, which also stars Good Trouble's Maia Mitchell, Halston Sage from Paper Towns and Jacob Latimore from The Maze Runner, is set to drop on Netflix on May 3 and will follow the lives of four teenagers who spend one last summer in their hometown before heading off to college. There's drama, there's romance, there's house parties, there's beach frolicking, there's meet-cutes at sports games... it's perfect!

What is The Last Summer about?
According to Netflix, here's the synopsis: "Featuring several intersecting stories, The Last Summer follows a group of recent high school graduates as they navigate their way through their final summer before taking off for college.
As the youths wrestle with love lost and found, form friendships in unexpected circumstances, and take greater control in their relationships with parents, they ultimately decide who they will be and what they will do as they stand on the precipice of adulthood."
Who is in The Last Summer cast?
The Last Summer boasts a pretty incredible line up of all your fave TV teen-drama stars. Fans of Riverdale, Teen Wolf, The Fosters, Good Trouble and 13 Reasons Why are probably gonna be shook to see all their favourite actors joining forces for one big Netflix rom-com gig.
KJ Apa will play Griffin alongside Maia Mitchell as Phoebe, Jacob Latimore as Alec, Halston Sage as Erin and Tyler Posey as Ricky - a professional baseball player. 13 Reason Why's Sosie Bacon will play Audrey, Erin's best friend.
Other cast members include: Mario Revolori, Wolfgang Novogratz, Jacob McCarthy, Gage Golightly, Audrey Grace, Greer Grammer, Jackie Sandler, Norman Johnson, Gabrielle Anwar, Ed Quinn, Brenna Sherman and Gabriel "Minnow" Vigliotti.
