Kim Kardashian's new show about prison reform is criticised for being "shallow"

In between studying to become a lawyer, appearances at the Met Gala and being a mother-of-three (soon to become four!), Kim Kardashian has been secretly helping to free people from prison.
But, it's not about to be so hush hush anymore. In true Kardashian style, Kim will be making a TV show on the whole thing.
In 2018, The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star met with US President Donald Trump to grant clemency to Alice Marie Johnson, who had served 21 years in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering. Following her release, Kim has been seeking clemency for even more inmates who were given harsh prison sentences.
According to TMZ, Kim has been involved in the release of 17 inmates, who were serving life sentences without possibility of parole for low-level drug crimes in the last 30 days.
Kim has now teamed up with the 90 Days of Freedom campaign, which was started by her lawyer Brittany K. Barnett and MiAngel Cody. Both lawyers work to help the prisoners legally, whilst Kim supports the fund financially.
Now, Oxygen Media have revealed a two-hour documentary starring Kim titled Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project, which will reportedly focus on her efforts helping to release prisoners. Alas, people have a problem with Kim putting this all on television.

Some have accused Kim of capitalising off of her good deeds rather than just doing it out of the kindness of her heart.

However, others have jumped to Kim's defence because even if Kim were only doing this for money and ratings (although we don't think she is), she has still got numerous people out of the prison system.
Ok but those 20 people won’t go back to prison for these old crimes when the documentary airs. Those people were REALLY helped in a profound way even if you feel the documentary is shallow. I volunteer. I list volunteer work on my resume and discuss at interviews. Doesn’t undo it

Can’t relate to the people who mock Kim Kardashian’s newfound passion for CJR. She’s helped free 17 inmates in 3 months, runs her own businesses, and is a mom. If you don’t think she takes it seriously enough then mind your own business bc whatever she’s doing is working. 🤷🏻♀️

at the end of the day, she still helped free many innocent people that would still be wrongfully imprisoned. so what if she films/profits while doing it, her entire life is filmed! plus, the documentary can bring awareness to the fact that our justice system needs some reforming.
