Kim Kardashian and Kanye West almost named their son Ye instead of Psalm

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child Psalm West on 9 May 2019.
Naming a baby is one of the biggest responsibilities a parent can face. The wrong name could lead to a lifetime of being taunted, or even prevent your child from getting a "professional" job. So, thank goodness Kim Kardashian didn't end up naming her fourth child Ye. Yes, as in the name of her husband Kanye West's 2018 album name, his nickname and Twitter handle.

Of course, we know that Ye actually ended up being little Psalm. But before his birth, Kim said that she'd been looking for traditional Armenian names as a nod to her heritage, but she couldn't find one to vibe with. She then revealed that she was actually thinking of naming her son Rob, after her brother and father.
Well, that didn't happen. On Sunday night's (20 October) episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child into the world. And when it came to deciding the baby's moniker, Kim's family had some questions.
Kim's mother Kris Jenner asked: "Kimberly, how did you guys settle on Psalm?" She replied: "Cause his name was gonna be Ye. Kanye doesn't like Ye cause Ye doesn't mean anything, and we looked up every name in the Bible that had a Ye at the beginning and the only name was Yechiel."
It was actually Kim's sister Kylie Jenner who talked them out of calling their newborn Ye.
Kim continued: "Kylie called at the last second and was like, 'No!' Psalm and Saint sound good together, and the kids call him Psalmye."

Psalm is named after a book in the Old Testament of the Bible and it means sacred song or hymn. Kim and Kanye already share daughters North and Chicago, as well as son Saint.
Later, Kim went on to reveal that Psalm would be the last Kardashian-West baby.
"I feel so complete," she said. "I really do feel like four is the perfect number for me. I feel so full in the best way. But I'm done."
