Kim Kardashian explains why her family skipped Caitlyn Jenner's I'm A Celeb eviction

"NO ONE from I’m A Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or anything from any Kardashians or Jenners."
Kim Kardashian has finally addressed her and her family's absence from Caitlyn Jenner's elimination from I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on Friday night (6 Dec).
Caitlyn was recently a contestant on the British reality show, which is filmed in Australia. Every series, contestants receive letters from home to help them through their three-week stint. And when a contestant is eliminated, they are greeted by a friend or family member, who usually stays in Australia throughout the competition. However, Caitlyn did not receive a letter from a loved one and she wasn't greeted by anyone when she placed sixth in the competition. She heartbreakingly walked across the bridge and raised her arms, ready to hug a family member, but had to lower them because no-one was there.

Eventually, Caitlyn's close friend Sophia Hutchins did eventually meet her and they flew home together. Apparently, she was supposed to be there when Caitlyn was eliminated but her flight from Los Angeles was delayed.
"Just got out of the jungle and actually getting hair and makeup done, and boy do I need it – haven’t had it in weeks," Caitlyn said on her Instagram Story following the eviction. "But, when I came out of the jungle, had a lot of friends there, but I had a big surprise when I got to the hotel. Sophia’s here! Yay!"
Viewers were utterly devastated that none of the Kardashian-Jenners bothered to show up for her, especially after Caitlyn admitted that she had not spoken to Khloe Kardashian in five or six years.
Oh my god my heart just broke. Why did no one come for Caitlyn??This makes me so sad. First the letters and now this #ImACeleb pic.twitter.com/4dHlQIGZS3

Well, Kim has now explained why no-one was there to greet Caitlyn. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star retweeted a Just Jared article which describes how Caitlyn's son Brandon Jenner claims that no-one had reached out to him from the I'm A Celeb team because the family's absence was a "storyline the producers wanted to fabricate in order to get more empathy for Caitlyn".

She added: "Exactly what Brandon said!!!! NO ONE from I’m A Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or anything from any Kardashians or Jenners." Kendall also retweeted what Kim said along with several exclamation marks. Oop.

However, I'm A Celeb viewers had their doubts about this because on the spin-off show Extra Camp, the host Joel Dommett started the hashtag #KardashianAppeal to encourage them to speak out about Caitlyn on the show. The hashtag was frequently trending following the show aired and people suspect that at least one member of the family would have seen it.
Thankfully, Caitlyn's daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner greeted her with balloons when she arrived back in the US.
She shared a photo on Instagram of what appeared to be her living room, littered with "Welcome Home" balloons. She captioned it: "Thank you my baby’s @kendalljenner @kyliejenner."
