Jordan Fisher replaces Jordan Burchett who was John in To All the Boys I've Before...
Netflix has officially cast Jordan Fisher as John Ambrose McClaren in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before sequel.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before fans prefer John Ambrose to Peter Kavinsky in the sequel
Ever since Netflix announced that they would be making a To All the Boys I've Loved Before sequel last year, fans of the teen rom-com have been desperate to find out who will play John Ambrose McClaren in it. Jordan Burchett plays the role of John in the first film but he only makes a cameo appearance. With that in mind, viewers wondered if John would be recast in the sequel and now Netflix have revealed that Jordan Fisher will take on the role of John Ambrose in the next movie.
Readers of the TATBILB books will already know that John Ambrose is a key character in the sequel. In P.S. I Still Love You. Lara Jean finds herself in the midst of a love triangle with John and Peter (spoilers here). Jordan Fisher, for those of you who don't know, is a former Disney actor best known for playing Seacat in the Teen Beach movies and Holden in Liv and Maddie. He has also acted in iCarly, Teen Wolf and Rent: Live. Not to mention, he won Dancing with the Stars season 25.
Taking to Twitter, to announced the news, Jordan wrote: "P.S. I'm John Ambrose McClaren! Look out, LJ." alongside a video with Lana Condor. In it, Lana introduces him and Jordan says: "I'm just so excited to be here". He then tweeted: "I’m losing my mind. My heart is so full." What a king. The response to the casting has been overwhelmingly positive but a couple of fans are upset about the recast.

While we are sad that Jordan Burchett won't get a chance to play John Ambrose again, we are extremely excited to see how Jordan Fisher takes on the role. He is a brilliant actor and will no doubt be perfect in the part.
