Joey King calls out Jacob Elordi for saying he hasn’t seen The Kissing Booth 2

Jacob Elordi thanks The Kissing Booth fans for “changing his life”
"Jacob watched it. He's capping."
The Kissing Booth 2 dropped on Netflix less than a month ago, with millions of people tuning in to see what happens next to Elle Evans and Noah Flynn. Jacob Elordi was apparently not one of those people – and co-star Joey King doesn't think he's quite telling the truth about that.
In a new interview with Variety for their Power of Young Hollywood issue, Jacob spoke about The Kissing Booth 2, whether or not he attempted to take on Dance Dance Mania while filming (lol, of course he didn't) and that all important cliffhanger ending.

Jacob then revealed that he hasn't actually seen the film yet, which then prompted Joey to jump on Twitter to playfully call him out for lying.
"I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have," Jacob told the publication. "I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t. Do you like it?" When the interviewer replied: "Yeah, it was cute," Jacob said, "Be honest."
Fans reacted to his comments in their droves on Twitter, including his ex-girlfriend Joey. In a now deleted tweet, Joey called him out, saying that he was lying just a little bit about not having seen the film.
She wrote: "Jacob watched it. He's capping." ('Capping', by the way, is a slang word for lying.)
Despite how fans may have interpreted Joey's tweet, the two do seem to be on fairly good terms following their 2018 break up. Viewers flooded Twitter with praise for both of their performances, pointing out that it couldn't have been easy for them to portray Elle and Noah's relationship this time around.
Based on Jacob's previous comments about his character, and the fact that he's been fairly absent from promoting the film alongside the rest of the cast (he's quarantine-ing in Australia right now which might have factored into that), fans also aren't that surprised that he says he hasn't seen it.
Jacob previously set the record straight about his feelings toward the film after fans thought he looked "miserable" in the trailer. He told Access Hollywood: "No, no. I have a resting miserable face! ...I wasn’t miserable, I was bloody tired but not miserable. I had a blast.”
