Fans have discovered his tweets and are calling him out.

Update: Israel Broussard has now apologised for his problematic tweets and likes in a Twitter statement.

It's been out for less than four days but To All the Boys I've Loved Before is already one of the most popular films of the year so far. After taking over the internet with the hit teen drama The Kissing Booth in May, Netflix are at it again and we couldn't be more obsessed. Not only does TATBILB feature potentially the greatest love story ever told (we said what we said) but it also stars an incredible cast.

Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse) leads the film as Lara Jean Song Covey and she is a revelation. From her hilarious comic timing to her emotional maturity, we adore Lana. Not to mention, Janel Parrish (Margot) and Anna Cathcart (Kitty) both stun as Lara Jean's sisters. Oh and the entire world is thirsting over Noah Centineo (Peter). That being said one actor is causing quite a bit of controversy.

Israel Broussard plays the role of Josh Sanderson in TATBILB. Josh is one of the five boys who Lara Jean writes a love letter to in the film but he also happens to date Lara Jean's sister Margot. As far as the film goes, Josh is nothing short of lovely in it and fans adore him.

However, viewers are less impressed with Israel. After watching the movie, people have taken to the internet to find out more about him and tweets have surfaced in which the actor criticises Black Lives Matter. Not only that but he appears to support Trump.

Here are the tweets in question.

Granted these tweets were all from 2016 and Israel's views could have changed since then but it seems strange that he has not deleted them or apologised for them. He has also since liked an array of problematic tweets. Unsurprisingly, people are taking to Twitter to express their disappointment.

Here are just a few of the reactions.
