Jacob Elordi will return as Noah Flynn in the sequel to the hit Netflix rom-com.
Ever since it was announced that The Kissing Booth would be getting a sequel on Netflix, fans have been wondering if the internet's favourite boyfriend of 2018 Jacob Elordi would be returning as Noah Flynn.
A couple of announcement videos have been released starring on-screen BFFs Joey King and Joel Courtney, with Jacob absolutely nowhere to be found. His absence from the promos has left fans wondering whether or not he'll be back for round 2. (They've also been wondering what will happen considering it looks like he and Joey are no longer dating...)
But just because he's not in those short clips, doesn't mean bad news for all you loyal members of the Jacob Elordi hive... Yes, Jacob has been confirmed to be returning for the sequel, and yes, he will be reprising his role as your dream boyfriend Noah.
In fact, despite moving away to college, it sounds like Noah will have a pretty big role in the upcoming sequel.
According to the synopsis of The Kissing Booth 2: Going The Distance, Noah and Elle will be in a long-distance relationship when we return, but that relationship will be put to the test for a number of reasons.
"Elle Evans seems to have finally tamed hotter-than-hot bad boy Noah Flynn, but now they're facing a new challenge. Noah's 3,000 miles away at Harvard, which means they're officially a long-distance couple - and it's tough," the synopsis reads.
"After all, there's only so much texts and calls can satisfy - and when Elle sees a post which suggests Noah's getting friendly with someone else, she's devastated. On top of that, it's hard to ignore new boy. He's gentle, sweet, cute - and definitely interested in Elle. With her heart on the line, what's a girl to do?"
So, there you have it. Noah at college, maybe getting cosy with another girl? While it looks like trouble for our fave couple, it sounds like we'll be getting a nice amount of Jacob Elordi content anyway.
So don't panic! Jacob will be back for more shirtless scenes as Noah Flynn. Amen. God Bless. Thank you, Netflix.
Well, fans have been speculating that the pair broke up at some point in the last few months. The couple haven't been spotted together for a while and no evidence of their relationship exists on Instagram anymore. Jacob deleted his Instagram pictures a while ago and it looks like neither of them follow each other anymore.
The two actors are yet to make any official statements on whether or not they're still together but it looks likely that they've parted ways.
And if you're wondering why Jacob has been so quiet, it's likely to do with the fact that he's been working on HBO's new show Euphoria, starring Zendaya, which is set to drop in June. Since The Kissing Booth, he's also been booked and busy, signing onto a number of projects that will all be released pretty soon including 2 Hearts, The Mortuary Collection and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.
