I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2020 may only just be coming to an end, with the final three campmates awaiting to see if they become king or queen of the jungle, but viewers are already wondering whether next year’s series will be in Wales or back in Australia.

The series re-located from Australia to Wales this year for the first time ever due to the travel restrictions and measurements in place to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The cast, including Shane Richie, Vernon Kay and Giovanna Fletcher, stayed in Gwrych Castle for three weeks taking on medieval challenges inside the freezing castle, instead of the usual bushtucker trials in a drizzly jungle.

Will I’m A Celebrity be in Australia or Wales in 2021?
As the series for 2020 has only just come to an end, it’s too soon to tell whether the world will be in a safer state for production to resume as normal on I’m A Celebrity in Australia.
However, show runner for the series Richard Cowles has confirmed I’m A Celebrity may stay in Wales for the next series in 2021.
No final decision has been made just yet, but ITV bosses are happy with how smoothly the Welsh version ran.
He said to Broadcast Now: “Australia has been I’m A Celebrity’s natural home and the Welsh version was born out of necessity rather than choice, but we’ve learned a lot and so maybe there is a UK incarnation of the show.
“We will look at what being in Wales means for the format going forward. Is it something we would want to do again, or do we want to return to Australia?”
Despite the move to a region more local, 12 million viewers tuned in to watch the season premiere and the series has proved to be an equal success as any other year.
