Will there be a I Am Not Okay With This season 2? Here's everything we know so far, including theories and spoilers about what could happen to Sydney, Stanley and Dina next.
Netflix have only just released I Am Not Okay With This and fans are already dying to know if season 2 is on the cards.
Starring Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff (who you'll recognise as Beverly Marsh and Stanley Uris from IT and IT: Chapter Two), I Am Not Okay With This is already a hit amongst fans of the graphic novel by Charles Forsman as well as the Stranger Things and The End Of The F***ing World fandoms.

Currently, there is no confirmation about a second season of the show (it's only just come out, give it a chance!) but, seeing as it's already a hit with fans on social media, things are looking promising.
Here's everything we know so far about I Am Not Okay With This season 2, including the possible release date, returning cast members and spoilers.
Currently, I Am Not Okay With This has not been renewed for a second season at Netflix, but then again, it's only been a matter of hours since season 1 was released. Give it a chance, will ya!
Netflix usually shares news on a show renewal around two months after it drops on the streamer. Depending on the reception from fans, you can expect news about the potential second season at some point in the coming weeks.
Again, this all depends on a) if it gets renewed, and b) when it gets renewed. Chances are that the writers are already working on a second season just in case it gets picked up.
Season 1 was filmed in Summer 2019 and aired on Netflix in February 2020. If the turnaround for season 2 is the same, then we could expect a new season at the start of 2021.

As our main character Sydney, Sophia Lillis will be back for season 2. Wyatt Oleff (Stanley), Sofia Bryant (Dina) and Aidan Wojtak-Hissong (Liam) will also likely return, alongside Kathleen Rose Perkins as Sydney's mum Maggie.
Given what happens in the finale episode, one cast member will not be returning to the potential second season. Although, flashbacks may occur, which means we could see them again.
Expect to see new characters in season 2. And maybe the identity of the shadowy figure that's been following Sydney around town will be revealed too... Does he have a face? Who will be playing him?
Season 1 adapts most of Charles Forsman's graphic novel (with some big changes), so there's no more source material to draw from should season 2 be renewed.
However, if there is a season 2, it will likely pick up from exactly where it left off – given how much of a cliffhanger they left us on, what with Sydney face to face with the shadowy figure that's been following her around. What does that figure want? Is it good or evil? Who is it? Is it Sydney's dad?!
The magnitude of Sydney's powers will also likely be explored more, and there'll no doubt be repercussions over what happened at the dance.
On a relationship level, the events of the dance will probably have had an emotional impact on Syd's friendship/romance with Dina. Season 2 will hopefully see the two of them become closer, as well as strengthen Stanley and Sydney's friendship.
But the main question about season 2 will probably be: Who else knows about Sydney's powers? And who has her diary now?
As we know, Sydney's father tragically took his own life. But it's soon discovered that he had been feeling a similar type of way to Sydney before he passed, due to his PTSD.
Season 2 will likely dive into Sydney's father's past. It will probably explore whether or not Sydney's dad's trauma also caused him to have a similar ability, like Stanley hinted at when he asked if Sydney's powers were hereditary. And, if he did have those powers, could it have actually been him that accidentally caused the blast that killed his team and all those civilians?
In the graphic novel, Sydney's dad knew about her powers, and asked her to use them on him. However, he's much more mysterious in the show, leaving the narrative open for all kinds of theories.
Once again, season 2 has yet to be confirmed by Netflix but here's hoping it does. We need answers! And we need them ASAP!
