"And y'all wonder why the bestie in my head Lauren Conrad just minds her business, lol."
'The Hills' is making a come back after nine years and it's where all the reality TV hype kicked off. Before the days of Love Island, 'The Hills' followed the lives of several teens just trying to make it in Los Angeles. The '00s reboot is rumoured to be debuting on April 15 on MTV and some of the old favourites will be coming back with it.
People are losing it over Ellen Pompeo calling out a magazine for its lack of diversity
Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt and Whitney Port will be returning, while 'The O.C.' actress Mischa Barton is one of the new girls on the block. Sadly, the show's original narrator Lauren Conrad, won't be taking part this time.
Some of 'The Hills: New Beginnings' cast sat down with Vogue to chat about what's coming up in the new series. However, when Heidi was questioned about diversity on the show it got all kinds of awkward.
Heidi was asked if she wishes there was more diversity on 'The Hills', which has always been an all white cast. And her response was, um, baffling.

"We don't all look the same," she explained. "I mean, Audrina has darker hair... Mischa has darker hair. We're California girls and we're a group of friends, and that just happens to be the group that came together. But you know that's just how the show is."
She finished with a classic "save" too, adding: "I have other very diverse friends that are not featured on the show."
So hair colour means diversity now, oh, okay! And can we talk about the setting… why the huge, creepy paintings in the background?!

Heidi Montag was asked in a recent interview if she wishes there was more diversity represented on 'The Hills'.

Did we watch The Hills for accurate POC representation? Lmao!!!
Next we’ll be asking for more queer Muslim representation on Made in Chelsea or some shit. Lol
I'm gagging. First of all the question is stupid bc no one cares about diversity on The Hills. For me it was like a valley girl safari. Representation ain't everything PLS. Secondly "we don't all look the same,I mean Audrina has dark hair"..a perfect Heidi answer tbh https://t.co/QVXNKiL7lw

Heidi from the hills not knowing what diversity means: unsurprising. What I am surprised about: the large photographs of her and spencer on the wall that no one has mentioned. What the fuck
