The internet is reacting to Jon Snow finding out the truth about his past and who Daenerys really is to him in the season 8 premiere.
Game of Thrones returned for its eighth and final season on Sunday (April 14). Game of Thrones season 8 opened up with the aptly titled "Winterfell", an episode which saw Jon Snow reunite with with Sansa, Arya, and Bran Stark at Winterfell castle–where they all grew up.
Warning: Spoilers ahead
Jon didn't return to Winterfell alone, however. The King In The North arrived with Daenerys Targaryen and two dragons in tow, a move which proved to be a point of contention for the powerful families in The North. But, after spending the tail end of last season getting closer to Daenerys and her dragons, Jon's allegiances are firmly with the Targaryen queen. That is, until Samwell Tarley reveals an important truth.
Samwell Tarly's episode 1 confession that Jon Snow is really Aegon Targaryen made for a stirring reveal–though audiences have known this since last season's finale.
How exactly are Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen related in Game of Thrones?
Now Twitter is reacting to Jon finally knowing his identity and the memes are pure gold.

Jon Snow went from being a bastard nobody to King In The North to a whole Targaryen with a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne. He obviously wasn't ready for all of this and it showed.
People were convinced that Dany's dragon tried to warn Jon with that menacing look.

We get it. Jon's lineage is... complicated. Samwell had to explain to Jon that he was really a Targaryen and it was a lot of work on his part.
And Jon realising Dany is his aunt. WELL.
